Question:

Why can’t my Senor scanner read the customer loyalty cards I made in POS?


Solution:

The Senor Scanner was introduced with the POS 2010/11 version. Its beam is wider than the DataLogic Touch65 scanner of earlier releases. The default width of customer loyalty cards is too small for the Senor Scanner to read accurately.



Workaround

You will need to make new customer loyalty cards.



Workaround 1: reduce the number of digits of the customer number in QuickBooks to less than 10. Transfer information to POS and create new Customer Loyalty cards.



Workaround 2: Increase the size of the Customer barcode on the customer card in POS. Create new Customer Loyalty cards.
